AFUMI is the Association For the Understanding of Mental Illnesses. Our goal is to raise awareness about mental illness, to inspire those suffering with a mental illness to believe in themselves and not be afraid to reach for the stars, and to remove the stigmatism associated with the mentally ill. The A.F.U.M.I. is commited to helping people with mental illnesse succeed. We are trying to raise money for more research studies, education of mental illnesses, and our goal is to provide a treatment and research center. We will offer people with the resources to find a job, start a business, go to school, or recieve treatment in the form of therapy and focus groups. The groups will range from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, art, music and more.
